What’s the PIN number on the new rooter 4?
What if I don’t have a landline phone and I don’t want to have one?
You don’t need to have a landline phone in your home.
Can I get a sky engineer to do this for me and my sky TV box

My socket is a ntl one does that matter
Hi, I don’t expect an NTL socket will be connected to the Openreach network (it won’t work). Give us a call on your activation day and our team will order a telephone socket installation on your behalf.
My router was connected by the person that works in sky but the internet circle is shinning orange for a few hours now, I have followed all of the steps once I tried connecting to it and it still don’t work
If you’ve followed all the steps in this link, give our contact centre a call https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-broadband-diagnostic/sky-broadband-diagnostic
We have recently had a new extension socket put it which is cabled up by a CAT6 cable. Since this change the hub is now plugged into the new extension socket and have lost significant download and upload speed. What is wrong? Does the new extension line need time to settle? The master socket doesn’t have a micro filter plugged into it as it has no devices to connect to it, the master socket is a single standard socket to which it leads to the new extension socket via the mentioned CAT6
@Sky Help hi
Honestly, im young, i dont have a clue what im doing, but mine is slightly different? We have a lil white thing with an antenna that connects to the box that connects into the little yellow port on the router and that got unplugged last night, after plugging it back in, nothings happened, theres a little button on the front of the thing with two arrows going round in a circle, youll normally have to hold it down for some time to make it work, nothings happening though, the white box w the antenna is flashing blue as well, i dont know what that means, ive unplugged and then plugged everything back in but idk

HI I have a double socket and attached everything correctly and have 3 green lights but as the purple phone line goes into the back of the hub now and not into my phone my phone is no longer working. Should I have a special cable that connects my land line phone to the back of the hub?

If you have no light on on voice then plug your phone into the double socket
I have set it up but when I plug in the Ethernet cable into the box no light comes up

Hi
Microfilter
There is no activation date on the box, only a sticky label with address on it. If it is underneath the label, then it will be unreadable because it’s completely stuck on top. Is there any way i can get this activation date.
Hi Halloweenville, you can sign into this link: sky.com/ordertracking/ to view your activation date!
@Sky Help Thanks, but it was sorted. I just ignored the date entirely and set it up anyway. Everything works fine.
I have black label and 2 ports for the master socket . I had the adsl cable the wrong way round . purple in wall and white in hub, could this be the cause of a slow connection ?
Technically, the ports are exactly the same. The colour co-ordination is just to ensure that the set-up process is easy to follow. You can colour-match the wire heads and ports if that feels better for you. If you’re having a slow connection, try this website for advice: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start?irct=twh-yt-help-wifi-slow
@Sky Help thanks, already tried that link , it’s no help really , it’s all real basic stuff
